Seven Special In-flight Meals
Renewed to Reflect Latest Health Trends

Korean Air has completely recreated seven of its medically-advised special meals to reflect the latest in health and wellness trends. Incorporating globally recognized dietary concepts like the “anti-aging diet,” the Mediterranean diet, and the DASH diet, and carefully considering passenger feedback, the airline has significantly improved both the ingredients and the cooking methods for these special meals.

The seven newly refreshed meal options comprise a low-fat meal, a diabetic meal, a low-calorie meal, a bland meal, a gluten-intolerant meal, a low-salt meal and a low-lactose meal. The new recipes reduce the amount of carbohydrates and sodium consumed, while enhancing flavor and nutritional value by using a variety of colorful vegetables and lactose-free products. They also feature lower saturated fat by using fish such as halibut or lean chicken thigh meat instead of red meat.

These special meals can be requested by passengers in all classes, from First to Economy, and must be booked at least 24 hours prior to departure through the Korean Air website or service center. With this renewal, Korean Air aims to provide a satisfying in-flight dining experience not only for passengers with specific health needs but also for those interested in the latest in wellness and healthy living.

“Flight for Better Tomorrow” Campaign
Connecting Travel With Giving Back

Korean Air has joined hands with the Korean Committee for UNICEF to launch an online donation campaign called “Flight for Better Tomorrow,” aimed at helping children around the world. The campaign is a part of the airline’s social contribution activities designed to put into practice one of its three core corporate missions: building a “Better Tomorrow.” The campaign is designed to make it simple and convenient for customers to participate during the process of preparing for their journey.
One hundred percent of the donations will be used for UNICEF’s Core Resources for Results, which provide essential aid such as water purifiers, school supplies, therapeutic meals for malnutrition and polio vaccines to children in developing countries. Participating is simple. Donations can be made through Korean Air’s Korea region website following ticket purchase, or by clicking the UNICEF donation banner displayed on the reservation details page. Those wishing to donate can do so with a credit or debit card, Korea’s Naver Pay, or through domestic bank transfer to a designated account. Anyone over the age of 14 can participate, regardless of whether or not they are a SKYPASS member.
