- Chris Burkard (b. 1986) is a photographer based in California, known internationally for his adventure photography capturing the intersection of humans and landscapes in extreme natural environments. He frames the awe of human presence in vast nature through a poetic lens. Through his documentary Under an Arctic Sky, TED talk and various media appearances, he continues to engage a global audience and is regarded as a key figure in reshaping the emotional narrative of adventure travel photography.
